Amplifying voices in communications

Professionals in the communications field are in a unique position to raise the profile of others and their voices. This includes those in public relations, journalists, writers, producers and more.

People to follow, who have done loads to to amplify the voices of women in tech

Reflecting on International Women’s Day and my limited time with women in tech, I am grateful for the amazing people I’ve had the luxury to work with and learn from.

About 2 years back, I saw a tweet about how the “PR types” should work even harder to push for diversity and inclusiveness, on panels, in the news and more. That tweet inspired me. I became even more motivated to do my job and it gave me a different perspective as to how I pitch and curate my spokespeople engagements.

“PR types” should work even harder to push for diversity and inclusiveness, on panels, in the news and more.

It’s been almost half a year into my time with Ericsson’s HQ, working in the Networks external communications team on media and influencer engagement. (At this point, it’s worth mentioning that this is a personal post.) I feel blessed to have the opportunity to work with amazing team mates from all over the world and of diverse backgrounds.

Today and every day in my capacity of my role, I’d love to shine the spotlight on 6 women in tech, who are experts in their own field. Do give them a follow if they cover topics you’re interested in.
